Welcome

This is an on-line interest forum called Vaso-Vagal Discussion and it has been created because of the large number of visitors to the Vaso-Vagal Research Abstracts appearing in a different part of this web site. Although this discussion forum is on a private practice web site, this forum is self-directed and unmonitored. The purpose of this discussion forum is to provide an opportunity for people with interests in Vaso-Vagal phenomena to share their information, questions and feelings about the topic.  It is definitely not a professionally supervised psychotherapy group.  It is also not a medically supervised clearinghouse for scientific information: the observations, comments, or learned-sounding statements made here are only the opinions of the participants.  The content of what appears here has not been confirmed to be accurate nor have the identities or credentials represented by any of the participants been confirmed to be accurate.   In other words:  use caution and common sense when drawing inferences from material you see here and before you act,  check out the facts with a known medical source

On Sabbatical!

When my office lease expired at the end of 2004, I decided to turn it into a "sabbatical" from my private practice. Many years ago, in my grandfather's 89th year of life, he told me, "John, it is important to smell the roses while you can still smell them." His life gave living a very good reputation. It is also true that the pursuit of that philosophy required my grandfather to to re-open his assay office/ore market in Wickenburg, Arizona as a 75-year-old because he had run a little short of retirement money. Thus, if blessed with his luck and health, I'll be back.. --jjh
