Your daughter is not faking!! People thought I was consious and I was not!! It is hard to explain the feelings of it. People have told me that my eyes are open, though I feel like I'm asleep or in a dream. I usually am like this for about 1-5 minutes, then upon waking I always vomit and now wet my pants. It takes anywhere from 20 minutes to a couple of hours (the more fluids after the better - usually given to me by IV in the ER) to feel totally focused and aware. Then I am wiped out for about a week or two. Your daughter is not faking and you need to find a doctor who will take the time and TRUST what you say to them and not DISCOUNT what you are saying. So that your daughters treatment and education on how to deal with this is good. This is a confusing disorder some symptoms can easily mis-diagnosed with other things even if you tested positive on a tilt-table test and the doctors know that. If you feel uneasy about what the doctor has told you. Go Find another doctor you can trust and trusts you!!
