my son has a problem with unexplained and unpredictable syncope. we have done all sorts of test and are currently doing a reveal which was implanted in his chest for monitoring the heart. we have recorded five syncopes all showing normal heart function during these syncopes. he sometimes feels bad before the event but sometimes not. tingling in the hands and feet will occur if not a little before especially after the event with a very profound urge to urinate and a moderate urge to defacate which in most cases he does nothing but sit on the toilet gets up and goes to sit and things has to go right back because of the urge. it will eventurally ease and go away after an hour to three.
the syncope seems to occurr when he is in a hight activity enviroment, ie., bowling alley with lots of noise, smoke, juke box blairing.
at a christmas party will caroling and visiting, having a good time sat down for a break and went over on his back.
he genrally wakes up in 15 to 60 seconds, is not disorientated, may be a little woozey but that could be from lieing prong.
is there a cure for vagal response or a medication to prevent or lessen?
