Yep. Happened the same way to me as did your husband. WIth me it initially happened 4-5 years ago when urinating in the middle of the night. My wife ran into the bathroom to find me passed out (dead sound asleep.. snoring actually if you believe her account).

It happened to me again on 9/3/01. This time it was the middle of the day and I was reading to my 6yr old son who was sitting on my lap. I had 2-3 specific incidents within a 10 min. period. We called 911 and I did the whole emergency room gig. I described the symptoms and was treated as a cardiac arrest patient by the EMT's.

The next day I did a stress test with a cardiologist who stated "You have not one single sign of cardiac artery disease."

I cant seem to get any interest from the medical community outside of a shrug and "Hmm.. perhaps you should reduce your stress levels." Frankly, physicians seem either unconcerned or unimpressed.

Do you know any good websites?

Thanks.

This web site is not a substitute for a thorough medical evaluation and diagnosis of your vaso-vagal type symptoms.  Medical treatment and diagnosis is the only acceptable initial response to these serious symptoms since they might present from any number of life threatening and treatable illnesses. It is for you and your physician to rule out more serious illnesses; Please don't use this online forum as an alternative to getting responsible medical attention and being under the care of a physician for the duration of any unknown, suspected or dangerous vaso-vagal syndrome symptoms.
