Sneezing in response to sunlight is the result of a recessive gene - that's why more light-haired people experience it. It's perfectly normal. Some scientist who was looking at it several years ago felt that it was a way to ensure that your eyes would close for a short time to give your pupils time to adjust to the sudden change in light.
