Denise, I am a 23 year old college student and just yesterday was diagnosed with vesovegal after a fainting spell I had a week ago. My Dr. told me that everytime I felt faint to lay down no matter where I was and this would prevent black-outs. It's a good temporary solution and I know that people around me would understand when I tell them that I must lay down in order to remain conscience. Tell your daughter not to be embarrassed to do this at school, have her tell her professors in confidence and they will understand. If she feels embarrassed tell her that college students do weird things anyways and no one would look at her strange if she was laying down in the hallway or the student union. I see it all the time at my school but this is no excuse not to ask for help if its needed. Good luck!
