Hi Elynne,

I thought you might like some feedback as to pregnancy and v-v. I have four children and have only had v-v epidodes since after my second child was born. I'm not sure if it is related at all, but this also co-incided with the first time I had had surgery.

I had to have a D&C a few weeks after the birth to stop the bleeding. I have had numerous other small operations since then and have thankfully never had an experiences on the op. table.

I do however have fainting spells whilst pregnant and in labour. So far the worst thing that has happened is a bad bump on the head from a fall in the bathroom of the labor ward.

I have only discovered, partly due to this site, that there is a name to all this and thankfully it isn't (as everyone else agrees) just in my head. I had always thought that fainting was something that just happened to some people and that there weren't really any adverse effects. Well I know how wrong I was now!

My last episode was only a month ago today and that time, I actually had the seizure like symptoms. It really scared the life out of my family and friends, along with everyone at the restaurant we were in at the time!
