Wow! I was so happy to find a page that has a forum on what I have. I was diagnosed w/ vaso vagal syncope in 1993. I was confirmed positive by a tilt table test. I didn't really have a problem until they injected the "pseudo" adrenalin. It recreated every symptom I had ever had that doctors were telling me was "all in my head". I was on the beta blocker Atenolol until 1998. It turns out the beta blocker was bringing my blood pressure too low and I started passing out all over again. Has this happened to anyone else? Well, this past week I had to go to the dentist and I ended up having two episodes right in a row. They were both related to the injection of the local anesthetic that contained epinephrine. The first one I was able to control with my breathing. The second one, I was not able to control and was out of it for about an hour. I told the dentist I had this problem before we got started and he still gave me the second injection AFTER he saw my first reaction. They hooked me up to the pulse ox machine while I was hyperventilating and my oxygen readings went into the low 80's. Does anyone know if this is common? Also, can anyone tell me what the risks are if I decide to have children? I'm 34 years old and am very afraid of what could happen. Thanks for this forum!
