my problems started once I was released from the hospital after having bypas (5) surgery at Lady of lourdes in camden, nj.about 13 months ago. Monday I am scheduled for a tilt table test at Lourdes at the request of a pulmonary specialist, Dr. Acampura, and a cardiologist, dr volosin as a result of recent occurances. I am 76 years old. )n my first day home last year I experienced what appeared to be hyper ventilation, could not get my breath, and had to sit down before the feeling went away. It would appear at urination also. i went to the emergency room of a local hospital but they couldn't figure it out and sent me home finding nothing wrong About a month or so later, my wife and I took a small, 50 mile, motor tript to Delaware from new jersey, suburban Plila. While sitting in he car I was fine but when I got out and walked about 20 feet and went up 5 steps i fainted and released my bladder, a common occurance when i had the spells. We drove straight to the local hospital and I stayed about a week and still no diagnosis of vagal or anything. However they did discover cancer of the spleen and through an echo test, what they thought was cancer of the liverfound later to probably be a cist. during the ensuing chemotherapy I had no shortness of breath or any other symptoms..wo to three weeks before the end of chemo the spells started to come back and i complained to my gp and cardiologist. The gp thought it was vagal but the cardiologist thought otherwise and had many tests done including, muga, lung scan, chest xray, cscan, doppler of my carotids, mri/mra of my brain and neck and found nothing abnormal. i then went to the pulmonay dr. an he prescribed the tilt table next week. He found my oxygen level at 98% this week but could not explain the shortness of breath bcause my lungs appear normal. Yesturday i went to the second visi with a neurology specialist and she as in the dark also and appeared unknowledgeable of vasgal when I mentioned it. She further said the tilt test was probably a good idea. Anoher wasted afternoon with a fool. Me E-mail is tracks@sky high.com and my hom address 27 duchess ct., southamton, nj. 08088 1079.
