Cathy, The most effective treatment (reading the posts) is still the salt and water. I have been doing this for four years now and have had one faint in 3 years. Not bad when there was a time when it was every hour!

At its worst I used to take 100mg of Flourinef every day. It is not a desperately nice drug and has lots of nasty side effects however, it was the best of a rather dubious bunch. It increased my salt retention and upped my blood pressure. After 6 months I weaned myself off and have just stuck with the salt ever since.
