I know this is a late repy, however i have just been to the dentist and have a vaso-vagal experience and got on the web to see what it is all about. I got my tooth removed and a couple of minutes later started to feel sick and hot and dizzy and the dentist luckily knew what was happening and put my head lower than my body and a cold face washer and I felt better within 10minutes. You asked about being pregnant and the vaso-vagel happened to me after a amniocentesis, I had the procedure which was cool and went into the waiting room and and I started to feel as i did above and the next thing I know my husband and a nurse are next to me trying to wake me up, then I threw up and had to stay in hospital for a few hours until I recovered. A similar thing happended when I went for ultra sounds later int he pregnancy. It often happens when i have to have blood tests and I don't give blood for this reason. It is very scarey and I plan on finding out more about it now. Thanks, Sharon
