I know exactly how you feel. I have Vasovagal episodes everyday for the last 10 months. I lost my job because of it, which also meant I lost my health insurance too. I'm currently appealing my private insurance disablilty claim and my SS claim. I haven't had any luck finding a lawyer to take my private insurance claim, but I did find one for the SS. I suffer the from depression and anixety now. I have no advise on how to get off all the meds or keep from hurting yourself, but I feel your pain.
