Contact Lenses

Two weeks ago, my daughter also had a vagal-vagus response to her contact lens fitting. She felt nauseated and blacked out, losing control of her bladder. She is 13 years old. We consulted her pediatrician and neurologist who determined it was not a seizure as I first suspected because she did not lose consciousness but did have bilateral movement in her upper body. He said that these episodes are also related to "breath-holding spells" she had as an infant when she could not get her breath when crying and would pass out. She also suffers migraine headaches which he says is also related. She has been able to wear her contacts without any problems since then. He says manipulation of the eyeball can cause this type of event, and that it is hereditary.
