Today, after an injection, it was said I had an episode of Vaso-vagal. However, the occurence happened after I was sitting for a bit, and Immediately after they gave me some "sniffing salt". The Dr. and nurse believed that I was having a seizure. The body movements, dialated pupils ect. indicated one, however the duration was much less in time (only approx. 15 sec). While the incident was occuring I was not aware of my surroundsings but felt like I was dreaming. When I came out of it i felt like people were shaking me to wake me up. The nurse indictated that she was just holding me so that I would not hit my head ect. The final diagnosis was Vaso-Vagal. My question is - just how much is "normal" body movement when one faints. Also, i question this dx. b/c I have had much more painful procedures and never have reacted so strongly. Any comments?
