Jennifer, What you describe could very well be a type of Dysautonomia. This does include vaso-vagal episodes. Your best bet would be to see a cardiologist, who can order tests for you. One test, would be the Tilt Table Test. Another good test to find out what is going on would be a 30 day Event Monitor....this is a small device that you wear for 30days. When you start to feel symptoms you just push a button. It will record an Ekg, that is automatically transmitted. Don't let anyone tell you, this is all in your head. This is really happening and to you!! You can also do a search on the internet for vagus nerve. Also look up the various types of Dysautonomic conditions.
