Tish, I had another "eposide" this weekend(7/14/01). This time I had to move my bowels (twice) after the initial onset of the wave (fuzzy, hot face, extreme nausea, fighting that pass-out feeling). That had never happened before. I thought I had fully recoved after I used the bathroom, so I continued on with my plans for the day. Bad idea. I then had the worst car ride of my life trying to drive to my parents house which is about 25-30mins away from mine. I almost pulled the car over several times as there was so much lingering dizzyness and nausea with that "faint" feeling. It's so odd because the nauseous feeling is so intense I'm sure I'm just going to vomit a lot and feel better, but the vomiting never comes. It's torture! I don't think I would have made it there except that I was concentrating so hard on trying to block out the symptoms... the old mind over matter... and praying. Blasting the AC on high helped to consentrate too. The nausea lingered nearly the entire day afterwards, thankfully the dizzyness subsided. This is the strangest part though... I had an onset of gas pressure and bloating before I went to bed that night after the nausea ended. Which makes no sense at all b/c I ate nothing after the onset of the symptoms. I'm starting to agree with you about how there must be some sort of "stomach" or gastrointestinal connection. But I can't find any connection to particular foods and I'm always drinking lots of water, at least 64oz a day. I've upped my salt intake thinking it might help from what others have posted. Has any of this helped for you? I hope you are doing better than you were when you last replied. Having that feeling constantly lingering in the background is not good. Is your doctor sensitive to these matters? Let me know how you're doing. - C
