Hi everyone. I’ve been reading some of the post here. I thought I’d share my experience to date. I had a “spell” of near fainting, severe nausea, and weakness. Two trips to the ER in two days to hear that I was diagnosed with Vasovagal and Depression. EEG, MRI, Blood work, X-Ray, and EDG all were normal. I was put on Serzone (am up to 500mg and have been on it for 10 weeks). It seems to help from time to time.

I can tell when my med is breakthrough because I have a Vasovagal response. One thing I find strange is that it takes me several days to get back on my feet. I don’t know if this is because of the Vasovagal or the med. So far each breakthrough has been treated by increasing my med. With this increase I’ll be at maximum dosage and hopefully it will work.

Over the last 10 weeks I’ve had 4 (Vasovagal/Panic) attacks.

To date these things have worked to help me control the frequency, duration, and intensity of these attacks:

1. Prayer to Christ to stand with me through this thing. 2. Stomach breathing 3. The medicine (Serzone) 4. Compartmentalizing my day. I just have to get to my first appt. After that I just need to get to my next appt. 5. Communicating with my spouse. Talk to them. Tell them how you feel. Ask for their help.

Hope this helps. Anyone with a similar story, I’d like to hear it.
