I was diafnosed with vaso-vagal syncopy my freshman yr. in college when I almost fainted during one of my collegiate basketball games. I was diagnosed after I failed a tilt table test at Deborah Heart Center, N.J. I am currently in my junior yr. at college, and I just started having symptoms that include fatigue, lightheadedness, and dizziness, but have not fainted since the tilt table test. I try to do everything that I can I can when I feel as if I am about to faint. (Eg. By lying flat on the ground) I was wondering if any of these recent symptoms that I have been having would be related to vaso-vagal syncopy? I was not put on any medications because the doctor perferred not to put me on them right away. The feelings that I have been having are awful. I found that they reck my concentrating, especially during school.

This web site is not a substitute for a thorough medical evaluation and diagnosis of your vaso-vagal type symptoms.  Medical treatment and diagnosis is the only acceptable initial response to these serious symptoms since they might present from any number of life threatening and treatable illnesses. It is for you and your physician to rule out more serious illnesses; Please don't use this online forum as an alternative to getting responsible medical attention and being under the care of a physician for the duration of any unknown, suspected or dangerous vaso-vagal syndrome symptoms.
