It is so helpful to read through your messages as my doctor suspects I have been having vaso-vagal attacks and the symptoms all sound very familiar.

I first had an episode a few weeks ago while watching the Exorcist. There was a scene in it which really scared me, then I started to feel sick, dizzy and I passed out. I was taken to the hospital because the doctor thought I had a seizure. I had a couple more episodes but none for over a week now. I'm still feeling dizzy sometimes, I'm also sleeping lots and I've only left the house to visit the doctors or the hospital.

I'm waiting on the result of a CT scan, but since there are no neurological symptoms present and I'm having the same symptoms as the rest of you, I suspect my doctor may be right.

I've always had low blood pressure. I was also on tablets for stress which are known to cause low blood pressure and I think this, together with the fear, has set me off.

I've been taken off the tablets now and I had thought myself that (as some of you suggested) salty food is helping me. I'm also going to have a go at a high-protein diet.

Like the rest of you, these attacks have really scared me and at times I thought I was going to die. The first time it happened I actually thought I had a cerebral haemorrhage and just couldn't lift my head or I was going to pass out again.

So, assuming my scan finds nothing abnormal, I will be trying to find ways of avoiding this happening to me again. I will let you all know if I find anything new.
