Yes, it has happened to me several times while sitting on the toilet. I am told by my Dr. that a nerve in your rectum (there are several throughout your body) causes your blood pressure to drop. This will give you a woozy feeling, fatigue, extreme persperation, and sometimes in my case "blacking out". He did say that it is more common in elderly people since they tend to run a lower blood pressure. It was odd to me as I was only 27 at the time. Keeping well hydrated seems to be the advise, I am off to the Dr. as I had another episode yesterday morning. I worry that this happens again while I am home alone with my small children.

This web site is not a substitute for a thorough medical evaluation and diagnosis of your vaso-vagal type symptoms.  Medical treatment and diagnosis is the only acceptable initial response to these serious symptoms since they might present from any number of life threatening and treatable illnesses. It is for you and your physician to rule out more serious illnesses; Please don't use this online forum as an alternative to getting responsible medical attention and being under the care of a physician for the duration of any unknown, suspected or dangerous vaso-vagal syndrome symptoms.
