WENT IN FOR A TILT TABLE TEST ON MONDAY AND PASSED OUT LIKE A LIGHT AFTER 8 MINUTES INTO THE TEST. THE CREW WAS READY FOR THE PASSING OUT, BUT THEY WERE NOT PREPARED FOR THE HEART STOPPAGE! WAS OUT FOR 4 MINUTES AND HAD A FLAT LINE OF THE HEART (I.E. NO BEAT) FOR 52 SECONDS. THE TECH HAD TO START CHEST COMPRESSIONS SINCE NO CRASH CART WAS ON HAND. WHEN I CAME TOO I WAS DISORIENTED TO THE MAX AND AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO GAIN MY BEARINGS ONCE AGAIN. THE TEST PROVED POSITIVE FOR VASO-VAGAL AND I AM REALLY GLAD THAT I FINALLY HAVE THIS FAINTING THING DIAGNOSED. THE SCARY PART IS NOT THE FAINTING, BUT THE FACT THAT THE HEART STOPS ALTOGETHER. I AM A CANDIDATE FOR A PACEMAKER AND WILL BE BACK TO SEE THE DR. IN ABOUT ONE WEEK. HE STARTED ME ON ATENOLOL AND I JUST STARTED TAKING IT TODAY! GOOD LUCK TO ALL OUT THERE...ASK FOR THE TILT TABLE TEST TO HELP DIAGNOSE THE VASO-VAGAL SYNDROME!!!!!
