My 9 year old daughter just had what has been stated here as a vaso vagal syncope. She started a normal morning showering, drying her hair and curling all while reading a book. She was standing most of the time. She looked at me and said my stomach hurts and then went white and fainted cold!!! Lips blue and total loss of consciousness...It is hard as a parent to understand this ---will it happen again? Is is really what they say?? Does her own fear of it promote it?--She is a premier swimmer and soccer player and troupe dancer---very active---I just want to make sure she is ok! Her EKG and blood tests were all normal----but I remain pessimistic..Dr.s say it may never happen again,,,but waht if it does on a regular basis,,,,,Are CT's a must???? This is so very scary , andy info or discussion groups would help...I sure feel better reading otheres thoughts here!! Lori
