while skiing in white out conditions ,17degrees. my wife became dis.oriented ,after struggling to get up from a fall.she was hit by a wave of nausea and dizziness.she was unable to continue forward motion.and said she feared she was going to pass out.fortunatly ski patrol came by ended up transporting her to first aid room. she had extremely high blood pressure for her .and very low pulse .cold extemmities, very weak and lethargic, with slow but not slurred speech. glucose i.v did not help of course she was on oxy.but nothing seemed to stabilize her condition .dr.on hand decided to transport her via ambulance to med .facility.she improved during the trip and was diagnosed at the hospital as possible vagal response/vertigo and released .my wife thinks she had altitude sickness (she's an RN)but she has been at ski altitudes many times.very scarey for awhile there
