Your VV episodes sound very similar to mine. I'm not on any meds, I've just learned to be very aware of my body and its VV reaction so I can lay down immediately! I crave salty foods, too, which I suppose is the body's way of trying to counteract the VV. I've had 2 children (natural childbirth), but - surprisingly - childbirth didn't cause an attack. I did, however, faint hours later when I got up to use the bathroom or bathe the first time. Loss of blood, shock to the body, response to pain...doctor said fainting could've been cause by one or all of these. Good luck. Lorraine
