Just to give you a little background on myself. I am 62 years of age, 5'8" 185 lbs.. No High blood pressure, no cholesterol, no sugar no medications whatsoever. I do have a Hiatel hernia which hasn't acted up in over 4 years because I watch what I eat, to a degree. On 12/22/99 I had an episode which was classified as Vaso Vagal Syncope or Orthostatic Hypotension, from getting out of bed too quickly. Unfortunately I fractured 4 ribs when I passed out. Besides "Ultram", a pain killer for the fractured ribs, I'm taking Tums to help settle my "Jittery" stomach which I understand is a side effect of the Ultram. In looking back, the nite before my "Attack" I had eaten several foods which aren't really great for Hiatel Hernia people, could this have been a factor? I've also found out that an older cousin has had the same episode at age 50 & again at age 61. I still get anxious during the nite & the Tums seems to help calm me down. I've cut back on the Ultram & have started to use Tylenol in its place. What is there that can be done WITHOUT drugs. Feel free to contact me at my e-mail: JGIprinter@aol.com Thank you, Joseph
