I have exactly what you had, I was diagnosed with vvs but I feel it's more of an orthostatic intolerance in me than that(actually they are all the same thing, VVS,NMI, OI, NCS ect..). I often have no stimulis to precipitate an episode, one factor that I do have is I am standing when it occurs. I do have it happen when sitting but it happens more with standing. It sounds like your case was OI .
