Last year, I was told that a dizzy spell I had was due to Vaso Vagel when I fainted at a work party. My Doctor attributed it to feeling "weird/stressed" around new co-workers which surprised me since I had never felt like this before...Then, last week, I was traveling with work and had a meeting. In the middle of the meeting, I felt my temperature sore to new heights(!), I immediately went outside and in the middle of a zero degree wind chill, I sat down outside letting the snowflakes fall on my face. I felt better about 30 mins later. That evening, I had another business meeting and we went out to dinner. There were 16 people there and I sat against the wall in the middle of this very long, cramped table in a small packed, noisy room. Almost immediately, I started sweating, feeling the heat rise again, sweating aggain - I asked a coworker opposite me to swop places since he was on the outside and had much more room to move around. I felt better about 30 mins later. I felt the same way I had felt one year ago at that party but this time I reacted quicker knowing what I needed to do. I told everyone at dinner that I was claustrophobic. But I know I am not. This happens more than often around my menstrual cycle. VV is a serious condition which no-one wants to talk about. Thank you for ths opportunity for discussion. (I think my own Doctor secretly believes I have a drinking problem but is too embarassed to say so.) There should be more info. on the web on the Vaso Vagel condition.
