I just found this incredible site. I have had IBS for 10 years and had these attacks prior to being diagnosed. I go into the bathroom, my lips start getting numb, my face feels extremely hot, I start sweating profusely, heart races, my throat feels like it is closing and I get weak and feel faint, I alway realize that I am going to vomit and usually after I vomit and have diahrreha, I start to come out of it. I think the throat closing thing scares me the most. I have tried Levsin under the tongue and it doesn't help. Drs. just act like they have never heard of it. I just can't believe that I have found so many other people with this problem! I am so sorry for all of you! I just wanted to share what I go through, sometimes it happens at work and that is scary because you are so alone, and I am afraid that I will pass out and vomit at the same time and choke to death! I just try to get through the whole chain of events and then I am like a limp doll. It must be the pressure of the colon because as soon as I have "colon blow" as I call it, I start to recover. Well, I am glad I found this website! Thanks!
