Hi, i am a 21 year old female who has suffered from this since i was 12. Only six months ago i was diagnosed with Vagal Syncope. I underwent many test over the past 9 years and no one could tell what was going on with me. It always happened around my menstral period due to severe cramps. then it started happening when i took a bowel movement or held my urine for long period of time. In March of 2000 i was rushed to the ER because i hit my head on the bathtub while using the restroom. The doctor on call told my husband and mother that i grunted too hard while trying to use the bathroom! Well they were furious, 9 years of grunting too hard? They Wanted to run more tests, but never offered to check my head. The next day i went and seen my family doctor and him being a new doctor, fresh out of med school, who had seen this sort of thing diagnosed me with Vagal Syncope. Now i am 7 months pregnant with twins and they want me to have a vaginal delivery, even though they know about my syncope. Everyones right, doctors tend to overlook this and brush it off. What is a person to do?? PLEASE EMAIL ME
