Our 14 year old son has not been achieving the levels that he shoud in High School. We have engaged a number of different tutors to coach him through mathematics. he has limited success/results, although they have improved. I believe that he does have a slight attention deficiency dysfunction, however his mother will not hear of it. His latest tutor, one with whom he has had the most success, believes that he does have a problem. She says that he is trying hard, is a hard worker with a genuine desire to learn, but basics she taught him only yesterday, he cannot remember them today. She did add that last week when he was eating some sweets, he recalled almost everything and worked well without much prompting. Can you offer some clues as to what may be happening. I need something to convince his mother that help is needed.
