I just got home after 2 days in the hospital. A tilt-table test shows that I have Vasodepressor Syncope. Unfortunately, I had to discover this by losing consciousness while driving! Luckily, I suffered only minor injuries. The doctors prescribed Midodrine. It was also suggested that a pacemaker might prevent future "episodes."

Has anyone had a pacemaker implanted for this condition, and if so, did it help?

I'm rather frightened of another episode as I have only a very, very brief warm flash and then lose consciousness.

Thanks, Cindy ckpalo@aol.com
