Hello Everyone,

I'm happy to hear that there are others out there that have experienced this often misdiagnosed condition.

My story started when i was a teenager. I have never fainted before in my life, and didn't know it was going to happen until I woke up on the kitchen floor with my mother telling me that I had passed out and had a seizure.

Our family doctor ran a variety of tests and found nothing, but still wanted me on anti-seizure medication. My parents nor I didn't like the idea of being on this medication until we had an answer to my problem. After a few more incidents, now being triggered when i was receiving an injection, we found that I was slightly hypoglycemic.

I spent the next few years fine, and trying to watch my blood sugar levels, but in my early twentys, I had another fainting spell and seizure, and my new family doctor wisely sent me to a grea neurologist. She tested me and told me that it sounded like Vaso-vagal, and that my brain, for some reason, also adds a seizure when I faint.

I'm on no medication for this. I have found that intense stress seems to bring on the episodes.

Has anybody else experienced vaso vagal and seizures?

I was exposed to a bug spray inside a store where i was working at, and i have had the same conditions that many of you have posted..but was treated for anxiety attacks..but after reading your posts, i believe that the bug spray has had an effect to that of vaso-bagal syndrome. ever since i left the job, the panic attacks, and the passing out have completely gone, tho it has taken almost a 6 month period , and have shortness of breath from it still.. can anyone shed any light on this finding... thanks.
