Just today I had 8 episodes. This is way more than usual. I have found that I get these at least 3 times a month within a few days of each other... why? I haven't a clue. Today was different. This is what I experience... I can tell it's coming. It usually starts with a strange feeling in my chest... like it's starting to drain out. Then the room appearance around me starts to change... fade. A tingling sensation starts at my feet, almost numb full of needles. It goes up my legs, out to my arms, to my mouth. I know I'll pass out. I usually catch it in time. I take a deep breath and literally throw my self to my knees on the ground, head down. I continue with the deep breaths.... It passes within a few seconds and I do not faint. I notice it happens when I'm upset about something, not eaten at all... I do have some health problems. I had brain surgery 3 years ago. I was diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disorder called Neurosarcoidosis. My immune system started to over-react to some unknown agent which causes my cells to inflame and grow to giant proportions called granulomas. I have granulomas still choking off my pituitary gland and in my sinuses. I developed allergies at the same time all this happened. Right after surgery I was left with Diabetes Insipidus. The doctors put me 80 mgs. of Prednisone a day. Wow! That's nasty stuff. I gained 70#'s in 6 months. Because of the weight gain and steroid use I developed Diabetes type 2. Since all this happened I get these episodes. It was diagnosed a few months ago by my naturpathic doctor. My health improved dramatically when I started using Barleygreen...which I now carry for others... I have energy and my granulomas have shrunk by 1/3rd. It's great to hear that others experience these episodes like I do.... I keep saying one of these days I'll let it go to fruition.. but chicken out at the end and put myself down on the floor to let it pass. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this. God bless.

I am a massage therapist and have recently come across vaso-vagal syndrome and was wondering if massage on someone with this syndrome could trigger an incidence or make the symptoms worse? Does anyone know the precausions to massage with this syndrome? Laura ctmassage@comcast.net 10/7/02
