I had experienced a couple of minor events, but nothing too serious. Started to faint, but quickly recovered. I really didn't think too much about it. However, a few months ago I was driving to work listening to Howard Stern. I was doing 65 in the left lane with fairly heavy traffic.Howard was interviewing a herion addict who went into graphic detail about shooting up. I hate needles. I started to feel a little faint, but I thought that it would pass. I turned off the radio, but it was too late. I immediately started to look for a place to pull over. I was pinned in and couldn't get over. I started getting tunnel vision, my hearing was shutting down, and in a total sweat. I thought I was going to die. At this point I could only see a small portion directly in front of me. I slowed down, but I couldn't see to change lanes, I couldn't get off on the left. I cranked up the air, rolled down windows, because it was cold outside and tried to hang on to a sliver of conscienceness. After a couple of minutes of this hell, I had a brief partial recovery. Thank God it was enough for me to get off of the road. It returned again while sitting on the side of the road. I also then felt the need for a sudden BM. Then ,although wet from sweat, I came back well enough to continue on. Right lane only! I went to the doctor and that's when I learned about Vaso-Vagal. I learned the hard way not to take this lightly. At least now I know what I'm dealing with. It could have cost me or somebody their life.

about a year ago my wife was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by a v-v s patient who fainted while driving the freeway at 60+mph.VERY serious injuries.Although his medical history shows many v-v s incidents he continues to drive. Is there any info on the danger to others out there?
