I'm 34 and I've been having VV episodes every 2-3 months for 8 years. They always happen in bed (at night). Same symptoms as most of you: nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, cold sweats, tunnel vision, disorientation, and if I stand up I faint. They last about 15-20 minutes, then I'm fine, just exhausted. I've fainted during the day before (with no other symptoms), but I've never had one of these full episodes that didn't happen while laying down. Anyone else have this happen while at rest? Also, I'm curious as to what medications Dr's have prescribed for this. I'm not on any. Dr. advise was "Don't get up if you feel sick." Very helpful.

I would like to say that I was diagnosed three months ago, when I fainted after a rountine OB-GYN visit. Tonight, for the first time EVER, after my dentist injected me with Novacaine, I got all shaky and weak and my heart was pounding and beating really fast. He told me that some people react to Novacaine like that sometimes, but I think it was an attack? Anybody hear of this at the dentist even?
