Im 19 yrs old and I was diagnosed with 'vasovagal' a few years ago. I was reading the information that was posted and I noticed that it said that it was unpredictable. well I only seem to get it when I am around needles, blood, or in hospitals. It only lasts for a few seconds to a few mintues. I think the worst part of it for me, is that I lose my vision for a few seconds. Some of my other symptoms include: extreme lightheadedness, dizziness, I feel faint but I have never really passed out, clamy skin and when people try to talk to me they sound very distant. As mentioned in the article, I always get the feeling that I need to find a place to hold on to because I feel that I am going to fall. One thing that I have found to help a little is to lay down while blood is being drawn. I just thought I'd share my story with everyone. If anyone has questions for me ya can email me at Reddrgn00@aol.com :)
