Michele, get some help since this gets worse with age. Sounds like Vaso Vagel Syndrome to me. At least ask your doctor about it. I've been there, done that for many years before diagnosis. I also have mitral valve prolapse beside the vaso vagel thing. Wondering now if they go hand-in-hand. I went throught the tilt table test and lasted 6 minutes before passing out. Treatment: Inderal 80 mg. once a day and Florineff Acetate 1 mg. per day. Haven't passed in in 5 years so far. Before that it was every other day and anywhere I happened to be (middle of New York City, Disneyworld, every restaurant in town, etc.) Ask your doctor about this treatment. It's been a lifesaver for me and I'm 57 years old and lived with that nonsense a lot of years. Also started with the bowel and sweats and locking myself in the bathroom wondering what was happening. Blood pressure at one point was under 50. Again, get to a good doctor and ask him to test you for this. Good luck!

VV & cervical disk problems

I am a 52 yr old female just diagnosed with VV by a tilt table test. I feel as though I precipitated the attack by falling asleep with my arms crossed over the back of my head (cut off blood to head). When I awoke, head & arms were numb & I passed out. Also, lost control of bowels & bladder (what a nightmare). I have cervical disk problems in my neck, wouldnt it be feasible to believe this may have caused it. My docs say no. I hate to be on meds like beta blockers if the real cause is the neck problem. Anyone else have anything relative to this? Write me: Jazmnsweet@aol.com
