Does any one suffer from severe hangovers when they have been drinking? I haven't been able to get drunk now for about two years. The last few times I can remember getting drunk I was so ill - not just the morning after but for at least 2 days! I feel abnormal now when I do go out because everyone else is drinking, I hate it when people ask why I'm not drinking because it's not the easiest thing to explain to people who have probably never heard of Vaso-Vagal!

Vaso Vagal Syncope

Two days ago, I had my head turned to the left, talking with a friend. My neck felt strained (as it usually did as I was in a car accident 2 years ago). I turned forward because I started feeling "weird". Then, suddenly I couldn't breath right and I got dizzy and I said that I was gonna go lay down for a minute. Well, needless to say, I never made it to the bed. I passed out, striking my head on the floor. It took me a minute to realize what was going on. My friends were asking me if I was ok and I just felt kind of "spaced out" although, I did respond. I went to lay down and noticed that my left arm and left leg were tingly. I went to the emergency room and they ruled out high blood pressure, and diabetes and anemia (I have had a hysterectomy). My family doctor did the same tests and didn't offer any advice. She didn't even feel that I needed to do the tilt test. At this point I'm just a little upset that I didn't know what my symptoms were pointing to sooner. I had been on a lot of meds following my auto accident and I related the bowel problems and dizziness to the medications. Now, I feel that all this time it has been a pinched nerve or blood vessel that has caused this which, eventually has caused me to faint. I don't feel safe driving, especially long distances and I have missed a lot of work because of these problems. I am going to a neurologist next week and see what he finds. If you have any additional related info...please respond.
