i just found out today after numerous tests that i have vaso vagus syndrome! I am 18 years old and have been expiereancing fainting attacks for about 3 years. I had a few at first but then about 2 years went by and nothing happened then about a year ago they started getting more and more frequent. At first my doctor oput it down to my age and the fact that im tall and skinny, eventually he referred me for tests. Two 24 hour heart moniters later they decided i had something wrong with my heart... they showed that during the night was heart was missing beats. I went back today and the specialist told me i had vaso vagus syndrome. Unfortunatly he said there is not much that can be done is this true? i am currently starting a course of beta blockers which he said may be able to help. i was wondering if anyone knows anthing else about it and how to stop the fainting attacks which are now occuring several times a week! if anyone can help me with this i would be very grateful, i am finding it hard to coem to terms with! please email me lisaeldred@hotmail.com

I want to know what this is. Someone told me I may have it. I do not "pass out", just get dizzy and loose balance. Especially when it is hot. I get very unstable and if there isn't a chair or wall, I do fall down, but do not pass out. Are these the symptons of VASO VAGEL SYNDROME?
