My husband was seen at the doctor because he was feeling hot and started sweating but he was cold to the touch and his body temp was 94.8. I called the doctor and they said to bring him in as soon as possible. The episode only lasted about 20 minutes but really scared me. He was diagnosed with a vasovagal reaction, told to take some tylenol and sent home. I am still very concerned. He has a family history of heart problems, he smokes, he drinks, but not all the time, he is overweight, and tired quite a lot. I am wondering what I should do more for him. Thank you for any information.

I have been having fainting espisodes since I was in 8th grade. I'm now 26. I'm been to doctor's throughout that time and nothing became much of an issue with the spells. I have been starting to have the spells more often and have already made a trip to the ER because of one. After reading a lot of the messages on the discussion board, I thought you all were describing me. I have so many of the same symptoms as a lot of people who wrote in. The only thing is that I have never acutally fainted totally. I've become very close but as soon as I detect a spell coming on, I lay down immediately. Can this problem still be vaso-vagal? I just had a full physical done and the doctor ran full blood work, (all normal), glucose tests(all normal), cat scann (normal) and I am now doing a 24 heart monitor. I don't really believe that she knows what is causing these spells. Does anyone have any advice of what doctor that saw for their problem? Thanks.
