Has anyone experienced an episode while having a bowel movement? I have severe pain in my stomach, hot and cold sweats and a very strange sensation comes over my head and body and I pass out (I'm out for about 1mn and recovery is 2 - 48hours). Usually, I will just lay on the floor so I don't fall, but my last spell came on so suddenly that I hurt my head badly on the sink. This has been happening to me 2-3 times per year since I was 16 years old. I am 36 now and am just now starting the process of diagnosis. My father of 60 also has this problem but is getting progressively worse. His episodes happen now even while sitting. My sister also has similar systems, but doesn't entirely pass out. My sister and I have anxiety or panic like feelings just before they happen. We used to think it waas related to the digestive system not our heart.

Does anyone have these kind of symptoms? I have had many tests so far and of course nothing is coming back to help diagnose this. Please share any insight you may have. Thank you!

What are people doing when/if they begin to experience a vv episode when they are driving? What if you're on the freeway and you CAN'T get over? This site is incredible. I thought I was alone with all of these symptoms. This appears to be a very serious malady which the medical profession is sluffing off because they dont't completly understand it. There are a number of ways I have curtailed my life as a result of vv, no swimming along, no skydiving, no applying for any position where if I were to have a vv moment,I would endanger someone else, staying out of the sun, even though I do drink copious amounts of water. What are people doing about the driving dilemma? Or is it just me?
