IM A 28 YEAR OLD FEMALE. I FIRST STARTED HAVEING FAINTING SPELLS WHEN I WAS IN THE THIRD GRADE. I WAS NOT DIAGNOSED UNTIL 3 YEARS AGO WHEN I BECAME PREGNANT AND WAS PASSING OUT 10-12 TIMES A DAY. AT WHICH POINT I UNDERWENT A LOT OF TESTS INCLUDING THE TILT TALBLE. SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN TRIED ON ONE MEDICATION AFTER ANOTHER. TOPROL TO INCREASE MY BLOOD PRESSURE, FLORINEF (WHICH CAUSED SWELLING), MAXIDE (TO REDUCE THE SWELLING), AND K-DUR ( TO REPLACE THE K+ THE MAXIDE CAUSED ME TO LOOSE) SO FAR NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO HELP ME OR EVEN RECCOMEND ANY ALTERNATIVE TREATMENTS. MY SPELLS ARENT AS OFTEN BUT STILL I NEVER KNOW WHEN OR WHERE IT WILL HAPPEN NEXT. MY MOST RECENT SPELL HAD A TWIST TO IT. USUALLY MY BLOOD PRESSURE DROPS AND MY HEART RATE GOES UP CONSIDERABLY AND THEN I PASS OUT, AT THAT POINT USUALLY EVERYTHING GOES BACK TO NORMAL. WELL THIS TIME IT DIDNT. MY HEART RATE CONTINUED TO INCREASE TO THE POINT THAT MY CARDIOLOGIST SAYS THAT I HAD A MINOR HEART ATTACK. ITS PRETTY SAD WHEN YOUR CARDIOLOGIST CANT OFFER ANY ADVICE OR RECCOMEND A DIFFERENT TREATMENT. SO FAR NOTHING HAS EVEN HELPED. IF ANY ONE HAS ANY ADVICE I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.

My daughter had another episode today which only occurs when she is in pain. Such as today, a frozen chicken breast landed on her big toe and she fainted. She knew she might faint, so she went to sit down. I found her in an epileptic state, stiffened and snorting for air. I laid the chair back she was sitting in and she recovered. Then momentarily, she told me she was going to faint again and she did. She again, looked like she was having a seizure. I waited for her, observing for S/S of lack of oxygen. I took her BP shortly afterward and the first reading was just 80. A few minutes later it was 90/60. About 10 minutes later it was 100/70. She gets very tired, nauseated, and feels bad. I gave her some gaturade, and she felt better. She has had a recent eeg, tilt table, and an echo. (within the past 12 months.) We have seen a neurologist and a cardiologist. This Syncope episode today, was the worst. She is 22 years old, and her first fainting spell was age 2. Then she has had 3 since then, age 17, 19,21. zoloft was offered, but since it is infrequent, she chose not to use it. Any other PAIN related symptoms such as this?
