Last night I was cutting my boyfriends hair and shaving the back of his neck with the electic clippers. I noticed he was not putting his head up or talking to me. He started going in and out of fainting spells for about 10 minutes. He started sweating so bad. I called 911 and they said all vital signs were good. They seem to think it was his Vagal Nerve that made him pass out. The nerve on the side of the neck. It made since until I took him to the doctors today and the doctor said "NO". Not related to that..quote "He just fainted". The doctor gave NO reason. Now I'm trying to find out for myself and of course, for my boyfriend, What is going on. Will this happen again? Is The Vagal Nerve the same thing as Vaso Vagal? Please help.

Whilw on a trip to Houston I had a problem that a Dr. said was vaso-vagal response. My symptoms are different then listed here. I had savere stomach cramping, then I had savere diarrhea became so limp and weaf that I could not sit without help. To talk was to big a task for me. I became so hot that I thought that I would explode. After my clothing was removed I was whiped with cool cloths. My hands from the wrist down and my feet from the ankle down began to tingle then they began to tingle to the point of burning and then felt that they would explode from my body. At no time did I lose conciseness. This lasted quite a while . I was taken to a Hospital and never did find out what caused this to happen. I have had this once again on a smaller scale just this week and I need some answers. I'm 65 and quit active. With no other health problems. Any answers out there.
