Is short term memory loss common with a vaso-vagal fainting episode.

My fifteen year old son experienced a fainting spell that the doctor referred to as possibly Vaso-Vagal. For several hours afterward the episode, my son experienced extreme confusion and memory loss. The doctor has done some tests today, but expects it is a one time episode.

I have VVS and have delivered two babies naturally. During my second pregnancy I felt faint, weak and sick one day for no explainable reason. Wound up throwing up and resting for a day but then things were back to normal. I realize now that I have VV all my life but never completely passed out until three years ago when both of my kids were in school. I have only had two episodes where I was completely out. I do not know why this would keep you from delivering normally but I guess the doctors know best. Good luck!
