i too experience an episode of passing out when i laugh or even when i say something defensive in response to someones remarks. my face twitches and if i'm standing , my knees will try to pop out.

My wife and I now have a plan to deal with V-V events. Here it is. 1.Get onto floor on bath towel. 2.Raise legs above heart and head. 3.Get cold pack on back of neck. 4.Get ammonia capsule. 5.Get bucket. 6.Get stethescope and check heart rate. 7. Maybe call 911. ------------- Unconscious? Assistant should 8.Keep airway clear. 9.If needed administer CPR. 10.Measure heart rate unconscious.
