Today I went to the doctor because yesterday I woke up and all of a sudden got really hot, and sick to my stomach. I decided to shrug it off. So i went to get in the shower, and all of a sudden I couldn't breathe, and felt like I was going to passout, but I felt like I was going to vomit. I don't know if when I wake up and feel weak if its because of this thing. I forgot to mention it to my doctor earlier, but he didn't seem to care, well he cared, but just sort of shrugged it off.

This is so unbelievable to me to be learning all of this. Recently an aunt of mine had a "black-out" experience which triggered some memory loss. She was admitted to ER and released the next day. It was mentioned it may have been a vaso-vagel reaction. So I was interested in learning about it and found this forum. Wow! My daughter, who is now 13, has been complaining of symtoms for over 2 years now. She gets dizzy, a sense of "tunnel vision", she zones out and says she is with people and can hear them talking but can't make out what they are saying. Her hands get freezing cold and on many occasions she's come to me and said, mommy feel my hands, they're freezing. She gets a shooting pain in her shoulder. I just can't believe this, it all adds up. About 2 years ago, she went on a water kick to try to loose weight. She had heard about it from an adult friend of ours. I'm wondering if she's flushing all the salt from her body. Who knew. Anyway, she has an appointment with a neurologist in 2 weeks. I'm so interested to hear what he has to say. I will pump up the salt for her and get her on Gatorade right away. I feel like crying because on some occasions, I've brushed her symptoms off thinking she was looking for attention. I also suffer from panic and anxiety attacks and thought that was what was going on with her. Her symptoms were so different from mine, something didn't add up. This would really explain it. Thanks to all for any advise. e-mail at Donnann@optonline.net with any other advise/suggestions. Thanks.

Thanks so much for this site. My husband is 46 years old and we have been married for 26 years. For 20 years the man has suffered from these "spells". Not one doctor ever did a thing except give him Valium because they never saw it happen, only I did. So of course it was all in his head but it was also in my heart. I was and have been helpless to do anything. Finally about 3 months ago while I was being checked by the doctor it happened, a "spell", RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF A DOCTOR. His pressure fell so very low he almost passed out 2 times and finally after 20 YEARS this doctor said Vaso Vagel. Now we will start the battery of tests which will surely include that Tilt Table I think next month.Today is April 17 2002. So many symtoms that others have posted have happened to him.We have lived a nightmare. For all of you who are suffering I can only say I believe you. You are not crazy even though they think you are.Wish us luck. SJD
