I am a 51 year old male having my first diagnosed V-V reaction on 12/30/99. Having a rich, but light early dinner with two glasses of wine, my wife and I went to the movies enjoying the first hour of The Green Mile. During Tom Hanks urinary tract infection episode, I had a slight stomach ache then heavy yawning and severe sweating all of a sudden in that order. Very soon after, the urge to move my bowels was felt. As I got up to go to the Men's room I could only go two steps down, and held on to the railing lowering myself to sit on the steps. Though I thought I was not completely out, my wife said it was about ten minutes. After two attempts to get to the bathroom I was assisted to the stall and when my bowels were moved I felt immediately better. The ambulance brought me to the hospital where the blood pressure ( under medication and controled) was normal (125/80), blood sugar 103, no heart attack, normal pulse, all checked O.K. I do not feel scared or am that worried about it happening again, but about 20 years ago the other time I had a feinting spell, I had not eaten and had a sip of a sweet alcholic drink and feinted again with the sweating and desire to move my bowels ( again feeling completly better once completed). I am not sure, but in my mind I feel I should completly move my bowels to avoid this from happening again.

HI, I HAVE HAD SOME SCARY THINGS GOING ON SINCE AUGUST. I AM AWAKENED SUDDENLY AND ITS ALL I CAN DO TO GET TO THE BATHROOM. I FEEL LIKE I AM GOING TO EXPLODE. I HAVE EVERYTHING I CAN DO TO GET TO THE BATHROOM IN TIME. I USUALLY PASS OUT WHILE ON THE TOILET AND LAND ON THE FLOOR . I WAKE IN A PROFUSE SWEAT FROM HEAD TO TOE. I JUST WANT TO LAY ON THE COLD CERAMIC FLOOR AND GET MYSELF TOGETHER . I DON'T EVEN MOVE FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES. ITS AWFUL! I RECENTLY WENT THRU A COLONOSCOPY TEST AND THE DR. DOING THE TEST SUGGESTED THAT I MAY HAVE V V. I NEVER HEARD OF IT UNTIL THAT DAY. I AM DESPERATELY SEEKING THE RIGHT DIAGNOSIS,SINCE THIS REALLY IS CONCERNNG TO ME. MY REGULAR DR. IS RUNNING ALL KINDS OF TESTS ON ME JUST TO RULE OUT OTHER THINGS,BUT,AFTER READING SOME OF THE ARTICLES IN HERE,I AM QUITE SURE THAT I TOO HAVE VASO VAGAL. GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS. TRYING TO GET HELP
