I was diagnosed with vv about 2 years ago, after seeing what felt like 100's of doctors. I have been passing out since i was in 2nd grade. While out of town one weekend, i had a horrible migraine, I was on my period, and I was dizzy. I totally blacked out that night & when I finally came to, I did not know where I was. I didn't remember falling or anything. My best friend said I was having seizures. When I got home, my mom took me to the doctor(I was 20.) I went to a neurologist, & he didn't understand what I was telling him. He had no clue!!! As soon as he took my blood pressure- he said we are admitting you into the hospital immediately! The reading was dangerously low. the next day a nurse took my blood. I told her to bring me a wet rag, because I was going to faint. The next thing I remember was when was drifting in & out of consciousness. I saw white uniforms all around me,everything was cloudy,& I felt a big prick in my arm. I was on the cardiac unit floor& I scared the dr. & everyone to death. they were not able to get my blood pressure reading & something was going on with my heartrate. the dr. told my mom "I thought we had lost her." this was a horrible event- they put me in ccu & called all of my family in. They thought I would die. as soon as I recuperated- about 3 wks. later the dr. sent me to emory univ. in atlanta. It took about 4 drs. 1 & 1/2 hrs. to come to the diagnosis. I had the tilt table done, I fainted immedialtely, my blood pressure dropped, & my heart flatlined. We went through lots of medicines, I have been on prozac for three yrs. I am feeling pretty good except for I am feeling rather tired alot lately. I don't know what to do!!!! I think I need to be on a different medicine, but what???!

Fainting, turning blue and convulsions

Recently I passed out at a restaurant after hitting the back of my hand. Hitting my hand was very painful and the next thing I knew I felt dizzy and then passed out. My family got scared and lifted my head. I was blue and my eyes were rolled back. After that I started to convulse. The paramedics said it was probably vagal response and not to worry. I have not seen anything about turning blue. Does anyone have any information on these symptoms? Deborah

I feel so relieved that someone else is having these symptoms. I thought this stuff was all in my head. My heart races all the time, bloodpressure is lower than my 10 yr older daughter as well. I feel lightheaded and nauseous all the time. When my heart starts racing and chest pains set in I feel faint. Today my stomach felt queasy and I thought I had to go to the bathroom. ( But knowing constipation is a problem all the time, I wasn't sure why I felt the urge to go). My ears began to ring, my heart was pounding. I began to sweat profusely of which I never do because Im chronically cold. I felt like I was going to pass out. I happen to be at the doctors with a friend and when I saw the needles I felt all this happen. The doctor there became concerned because I couldn't hold my head up, sweating, and shaking and my ears were ringing and I couldn't hear properly. She took my pulse and it was 48. That was after 3 attempts to find a pulse. She told me I had a Vaso Vegul eposide. I wasn't sure what she meant and to be honest at the time I really didn't care because I felt so horrible. I was so exhausted and just wanted to lay down. This happens sometimes too after I eat. I also have just recently experienced jaw tightness. I work in an elementary school and now I'm at the nurse more than the kids. I have been recently diagnosed with a murmur, mitral ticking, and tachycardia. They started me on meds a week ago. I dont know. I'm confused as well. Im calling my doctor tomorrow. Take care..
