Consider looking into National Dysautonomia Research Foundation web site. They have a doc referral list. May want to see one of the docs on the list. My husband has Neuro Cardio Syncope but was told he has Vasovagal Syncope. The discussion forum is wonderful!!! Best of luck to you both! :-)

Fainting, turning blue and convulsions

Recently I passed out at a restaurant after hitting the back of my hand. Hitting my hand was very painful and the next thing I knew I felt dizzy and then passed out. My family got scared and lifted my head. I was blue and my eyes were rolled back. After that I started to convulse. The paramedics said it was probably vagal response and not to worry. I have not seen anything about turning blue. Does anyone have any information on these symptoms? Deborah

I'm 50 and just had two episodes, and didn't faint nor did I fail the tilt table test. They are still testing me. Any ideas? Do you know how to prevent this without drugs?
