From your post, it sounds like you did not pass out during your Tilt-Table Test. The TTT is not 100% accurate. If you pass out, you definately have vaso vagal syncope. If you do not pass out, it does not mean that you do not have it. You still may have Vaso Vagal. I would talk to your doctor about this, Maybe a second test may show a positive result. Or maybe there is something else wrong. I have had the same symptoms as you also. I do know it is important to take all the seemingly unnessary tests to rule out any other serious problems, too. Hang in there, it took doctors 30 years to figure out I had vaso vagal syncope. I first passed out when I was seven, and too many times to count since then. I am now 39. It always bugged me not knowing why I was passing out. I found that being persistent with the doctors, (bringing a written list with all the symptoms and other positive test results, helped tremendously). I kept going back until I finally was diagnosed with it from an emergency room doctor I never met before. I took the tilt test, had a positive result, learned that it was not in my head as so many people said to me and now I am getting educated on this disorder and learning how to deal with it.

On Sabbatical!

When my office lease expired at the end of 2004, I decided to turn it into a "sabbatical" from my private practice. Many years ago, in my grandfather's 89th year of life, he told me, "John, it is important to smell the roses while you can still smell them." His life gave living a very good reputation. It is also true that the pursuit of that philosophy required my grandfather to to re-open his assay office/ore market in Wickenburg, Arizona as a 75-year-old because he had run a little short of retirement money. Thus, if blessed with his luck and health, I'll be back.. --jjh
